Renewable Energy Society
The Colorado Renewable
Energy Society (CRES) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the
beneficial adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the
state. CRES is a chapter of the American Solar Energy Society and represents
550 members statewide.
Phil von Hake worked on the CRES Media-Education Committee since 2001,
and was a member of the Board of Directors in 2004 & 2005.
Phil's most significant contributions to CRES have included:
- Promoting CRES's monthly meetings for the public (and more than
tripling average attendance since he started doing so).
- Serving on the CRES Board of Directors (2004-2005).
Working
on CRES's Annual Conference, Annual Meeting, and Tour of Solar Homes
each year.
- Making review, design, and content contributions to the 2005 re-design
of http://cres-energy.org.
- Creating and managing the "CRES Internet T-Shirt Shop"
as an ongoing fundraiser for CRES.
"CRES used to have another volunteer named Phil,
but his contributions ended up being rather disappointing. Now,
whenever I want to refer specifically to Phil von Hake in CRES
circles, I clarify it by calling him 'the Good Phil.'"
