The
Colorado Energy
Science Center (CESC) works to increase the understanding and appreciation
of energy science and technology. This enables decision-makers
to adopt energy practices that produce economic benefits, reduce environmental
impacts, and increase the sustainability of energy supply.
CESC asked PvH
Communications for writing & editing help for its first-ever "Consumer
Guide to Energy Efficiency." Working with CESC and independent
subject matter experts, PvH produced introductions to the Windows &
Doors, Insulation, and Heating & Cooling chapters of this Guide.
Thanks to an overwhelming
response by prospective advertisers, an initial run of 75,000 copies
of the Guide were printed and distributed all along the Colorado Front
Range during the Fall of 2003. Additional versions of the Guide are
planned for other parts of Colorado in the near future.
"The
expectations were large by the time we began writing the first edition
of the Consumer Guide to Energy Efficiency. We asked Phil to help
us by writing the initial drafts for the three core chapters.
Phil
got us off to a quick start. He communicated well with our team as
he began cranking out text. He kept the writing process moving to
the point where we could send the drafts out for technical review.
We're proud of the final product, and it has been getting great reviews.
Phil was an essential part of this process, and he was a pleasure
to work with."
