World-renowned Sustainability Advocate
Denis Hayes will appear in Denver on July 14, 2002, to discuss
"A Marshall Plan for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency." Denis Hayes is currently President of the
Bullitt Foundation, a $100-million environmental philanthropy group.
He is most famous, however, for being Co-Founder of the original Earth
Day in 1970, and a former Director of the Solar Energy Research
Institute (SERI - now the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, NREL). Denis was the author of Rays of Hope, one of
the first and most popular books ever written on solar energy. His talk
will revisit the premises laid out in his original work, and present
his reasons for "Renewable Action Now." Denis Hayes will give this talk at 5:30 PM on Sunday,
July 14, 2002, at the Denver
Zoo's Education Center, 2300 Steele St. (in City Park), Denver,
CO 80205-4899. Admission is free and open to the public. This event is being sponsored and organized by an
unprecedented alliance of Sustainability Advocacy Groups:
