PvH Communications launches campaign to reduce energy consumption in the easiest possible way.

If you're the last one to leave a room, then why (WHY?!) should you leave the lights on?

With all due respect to those with security and other "valid" concerns, far too many lights around the world are left on that serve no clear purpose. Whether those lights are shining on a room that's occupied or not, they are still drawing electricity from some power plant (and still drawing money from your bank account!).

With utility bills starting to go through the roof, you can do the single easiest thing to save energy by turning the lights OFF when you leave a room!

Energy efficiency guru Amory Lovins helped capture this idea with the term "Negawatts" for energy that does not have to be used thanks to efficiency and conservation measures. While technology has made great strides to create ever more efficient electrical devices, the rest of this problem can only be solved by changing our behavior as well as our light bulbs.

You can help spread this message - and change our electricity-consuming behavior - by going to www.cafepress.com/cutthejuice to purchase a few of these items:

  • Light Switch Covers
  • Stickers to place over existing light switch covers
  • T-Shirts
  • Hats
  • (more items to come)

Place them "strategically" throughout your home, workplace, place of worship, community center, or any other place where you might have some influence over the lights.

Please contact me directly ( 303-762-8547 / phil@pvhccc.com ) to make bulk purchases of fifteen (15) or more of one item at a time ... big discounts when you order in bulk!

My immediate goal for this campaign is to get people to save on their energy costs in the easiest possible way. Once more people adopt this behavior, one of my longer-term goals would be to make people more aware of their overall energy-consuming behavior (beyond merely turning off lights). Ultimately, I hope this message will indeed "help clear the air," especially in the form of reduced power plant emissions.

So the next time you're the last person to leave a room, and you can't think of any good reason to leave those lights on, take just a few extra seconds to do the right thing for your electric bill, our nation's power supplies, and our Environment:

Not in Use?
Then
CUT THE
JUICE!

Thanks,
and Many Happy Returns
on Your Energy Savings!
